About Our Videos

  • Our videos are available in the frame sizes HD (1280 x 720), PAL (768 x 576) or NTSC (640 x 480).
  • All videos have a frame rate of 50p / 60p for smooth movements.
  • All videos are high quality coded with H.264 and universally playable as MP4.

Below you find some test videos. These are short excerpts from the original videos. The format is exactly the same as in the members area.

 

Three Levels of Quality

All videos are available in three levels of quality (High Quality, Medium Quality, Low Quality). The higher the level, the better the picture quality and the larger the file size. If your data volume is restricted you may consider the medium or low quality files.

High Quality

The High Quality videos provide the best picture quality thanks to a high data rate of several Mbit/s. The frame size is the same as in the original footage, thus either HD (1280 x 720) or PAL (768 x 576) or NTSC (640 x 480).

Why various frame sizes? Well, our website exists since 2001. Back in these days there were no HD camcorders available. You could record videos only in PAL (768 x 576) or in NTSC (640 x 480).

Medium Quality

The Medium Quality videos are made for people whose internet connection is restricted in data volume, but still want to get a good picture quality. The frame size is limited to 640 x 480 pixel and the data rate is limited to 1500 Kbit/s. Still the frame rate is kept on the high 50p / 60p providing smooth movements.

Low Quality

The Low Quality videos are made for people whose internet connection is heavily restricted in data volume, but still want to get a satisfying picture quality. The frame size is limited to 320 x 240 pixel and the data rate is limited to 500 Kbit/s. Still the frame rate is kept on the high 50p / 60p providing smooth movements.
